Lisa's Bestest Uncooked Playdough

Ingredients:- 2 c all purpose flour
- 2 TBS vegetable oil
- 1/2 c salt
- 2 TBS cream of tartar
- Up to 1.5 c boiling water (add in increments)
- food colouring (optional) [I prefer gel colour,(found at craft type shops) it is so much more concentrated]
- scented extracts or oils (optional)
Prep: 15 min
Directions:
- For smooth dough; dissolve salt in boiling water. This may take a couple reheatings.
- Mix flour and cream of tartar together in a large bowl.
- Add oil, food colouring, and scent to the liquid mixture.
- Add liquid to dry ingredients, stirring continously untili it becomes a sticky, combined dough.
- Allow to cool and knead the dough vigorously for a couple of minutes until it is no longert sticky. This is an important step, so keep at it until it feels right.
- If it is still too sticky, knead in more flour sparingly until perfect.
- Store in an air tight container for about 6 months.
